'This book throws light on how limited objectives for liberation of Bangladesh ultimately encompassed capitulation and surrender of Pak forces at Dacca in 1971. Gen. Jacob certainly deserves credit for the Indian blitzkrieg but as per military convention the top commander ultimately has to bear the burden of ignomy in defeat or the laurels of victory.
