Flight Lieutenant Shoots Himself at Air Force Base

According to reports, a 22-year-old airman named Vignesh Sunder, from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, shot himself with his service rifle while on duty at the guard post of the 505 Signal Unit Room at the Memaura Air Force station in Banthra, Lucknow.

The incident resulted in his death, and he was found in a pool of blood by his colleagues who rushed to the scene upon hearing the gunshot. Flying Officer Ahul Soman, the station adjutant of the 505 Signal Unit at Memaura, confirmed Vignesh's deployment at the gate and that he had joined the Air Force Station two years prior. The police inspected the scene, took the rifle into their custody, and sent Vignesh's body for autopsy. SHO Ashish Mishra reported that the victim's family in Madurai had been informed of the tragedy.
