Woman Hit by Bullet from Air Force Station

According to Superintendent of Police (Ambala) Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, a woman prisoner inside Ambala Central Jail was struck by a stray bullet on 18 January.

The bullet was found to have been fired from an AK-47 and had inadvertently strayed from the firing exercise at Air Force Station, located approximately 2.05 km away from the jail. The district police were compelled to establish a special team overseen by S.P. Jashandeep Singh Randhawa to investigate the matter. It was during the firing practice of Air Force personnel at the Air Force station in Ambala that the incident occurred.
