Army Boys Sports Companies

The Army Boys Sports Companies in the Indian Army, such as the one at The Madras Engineer Group & Centre Bangalore, are collaborative ventures between the Sports Authority of India and the Indian Army. These companies aim to scout and develop young boys with potential in sports disciplines like Boxing, Hockey, Sailing, and Swimming. The selection process involves physical and technical skills assessments under the guidance of Sports Authority of India coaches. Eligible candidates, aged between 8 to 16 years, with specific sports achievements and educational qualifications, can participate in these initiatives.

Selected candidates at the Army Boys Sports Companies are provided with various facilities free of cost, including accommodation, education up to class X, sports training under qualified coaches, competition exposure across India, health insurance coverage, and opportunities for recruitment as Agniveers in the Indian Army upon meeting specific criteria. These initiatives not only focus on developing sporting talent but also instil values of discipline, teamwork, and national pride among the youth. The rigorous selection process ensures that only promising talents are chosen for induction into these Army Boys Sports Companies.
