Army Girls Sports Companies (AGSCs)

To promote young talent and foster excellence in sports among girls, the Army has raised two Army Girls Sports Companies (AGSCs) at two Centre of Excellence Nodes: The Army Marksmanship Unit in Mhow and the Army Sports Institute in Pune. These aim to empower young female athletes and provide them with opportunities to excel in various sports disciplines. The primary objective of these AGSCs is to identify and nurture talent in sports such as Shooting, Archery, Athletics, Boxing, and Weightlifting among young girls from across the country.

The AGSCs will not only focus on training these girls in their respective sporting disciplines but also provide formal education, administrative support, and opportunities for recruitment as Direct Entry Non-Commissioned Officers and Direct Entry Junior Commissioned Officers.
